I see lots of wine in my future this Amazon peak season!!! It's been MY busy season since late September, with very little breathing room....and now Brent's is in full swing. After a very busy work day tomorrow, I'm off til Jan 4. Much needed break, I say!

People say...oh, but he's just working 5 days instead of 4. That's a normal schedule. No....no it's not. He gets up at 4:00 am, to be at work by 5:30 and he doesn't get home til between 8-9 pm. He goes 5 days without seeing the boys. Which means I go 5 days straight without any help....all while editing, responding to inquiries, making disc, grocery shopping, post office runs, kids back and forth to school.

19 days to go.

Finalist

Way back in the Summer I entered a couple images into a festival in Cleveland. The festival was Agri-Heritage themed. One of my images was a finalist in the "Grown in Ocoee Region" category! We had to go to the festival to find out what I placed and to receive a prize on stage. My image "Fall Harvest" placed second place. I received a copy of the image below on a "standout", which is like a faux canvas, and a gift card. It and the other finalist will be displayed for a year at the Hiwassee River Heritage Center in Charleston, TN and used on the website, marketing and brochures for future festivals.

We spent several hours lost and roaming in this beautiful city, but there was something to see at every turn on these busy but small streets. It would take days and days to explore everything this city has to offer and I hope to go back and do just that sometime. If you ever go to Charleston, I highly recommend having a plan and/or taking some type of walking, carriage or bus tour. I think we spent a little too much time lost and didn't see as much as we wished.

Ahoy Matey!

I had the brilliant (if I must say so myself) idea to make the boys pirates costumes and have a little photo session. They are obsessed with Jake and the Neverland Pirates on Disney, so this was right up their alley. It was probably the most fun photo shoot I've done.

I don't know why some of these are distorted....
