Graham is doing well. He's starting to get a little more fussier and gassy at times. Mostly at night, go figure, but all in all he's a pretty easy baby. Still loves his mommy and wants to be around her all the time! Heaven forbid I put him down to do the dishes or change a load of laundry ;). He is starting to develop a schedule and also having more alert/wake time. He follows me with his eyes and likes to lay and watch the blinking lights on his play mat. Before long he'll be running around and harassing his brothers.
Speaking of laundry, we got a new washer and dryer last week and ohhhhh, man....it is the greatest. I don't think I've blogged about it yet (or maybe I have and forgotten?) but it will wash 25 bath towels in one load or 50 mens XL t-shirts. How's that for capacity?!?! I'm absolutely in love with it. It's my favorite appliance of all time. I don't have to do laundry every day now and it's not a struggle to keep up. One load equals 4 or maybe more loads in my old washer. It's absolutely amazing. Now folding, hanging up and putting away. Yeah, I still suck at that.
Anyways. I have to brag a little on myself. I am 2 lbs less than my prepregnancy weight as of 10 days post partum. At 3 days post partum, ((Drum roll please, because you won't believe it......)) I fit back into my prepregnancy jeans! Now those jeans are officially too big and I am wearing some that are a size smaller! Whoo hooo!!
Now only 25 more lbs to go :/ Ha!

Go Fish
This Sunday we went to Go Fish. It is a Department of Natural Resources research center that is also open to the public on the weekends. They had lots of freshwater fish. HUGE bass among others. The boys absolutely loved watching them. Nate is obsessed with "fishy" (their little beta fish we have) so this was just over the top for him.
In addition to the aquariums and ponds, they also had a shooting range to simulate hunting. There were fake shotguns and riffles and a screen with animated animals on it you could pretent hunt. That was a huge hit with Logan and probably something we shouldn't have introduced. Oops. Afterwards on the ride home we had a talk about hunting and shooting animals for food and not fun, etc. He hasn't talked about it since we left so hopefully it won't come up again.
They also had a fishing simulator. It was really cool. I even enjoyed it, but we all know I like to fish ;). The ocean simulator was the best. They also had a hatchery and baby lake sturgeon we could look in on.
But best of all, they have a stocked fishing pond for kids and they provide bait and tackle. During the month of March, licensed adults can fish as well and take home several trout and catfish if they want. Our licenses are not current so we didn't get to fish, but Brent helped Logan as much as he could. Needless to say, we walked away with no catch of the day, but Logan had a lot of fun! Nate was not so interested in fishing. At this point he was hot and tired and more interested in his juice cup and trying to rip the blanket off me while I was trying to hide and feed Graham.
This place was seriously cool and a fun and cheap place to kill a couple hours during the weekend.
On a side note...Logan and Nate met another little boy while we were there. He was 3.5 also. Nate was almost as big as him and Logan was at least a foot taller. I have some massive kids.
I Survived
I survived the first week by myself! Yay! Everything from handling all three, school drop offs, Brent being out of town, Graham's first growth spurt and his doctors appointment. All.by.myself. Yep, me. Supermom. I have super powers, did you know? Just ask my mom, she told me so.
Soooo, as you can tell, last week was good. Did I want to pull my hair out at some points? Definitely. School drop off went better than expected. Nate held my hand and Logan stayed close. Logan is a little timid around other cars, roads, dangerous things in general, so he doesn't stray too far in those situations usually. Brent went to Savannah Friday with Frito. I somehow managed to clean the house and manage the day by myself. Saturday we had friends over to grill out for Brent's birthday. We had a great time getting to know new friends and best of all, we managed to pull it off.

2 Week Checkup
Graham had his two week checkup today. He was 8 lbs 5 oz, 69%, up from 6 lbs 13 oz at 4 days old. He was 21 and 1/8 (why do they even count the 1/8??) inches, 97%, up from 19.5 inches at birth.
He goes back in 6 weeks when he is 2 months old.

Week 1
Here's a new picture, he was 7 days old here.
Graham is generally a pretty easy baby so far. He is nursing great and starting to fill out and look less like a wrinkly grandpa. He is swallowing air, which I'm still trying to figure out but at least i am able to get him to burp now and get it up. He spits up some, but all my babies have. His spit up is not curdled or sour, so that most likely means he's just getting too much and spitting up the excess. The only thing I've ate so far that's upset him is Steak -n- Shake chili. Milk and pizza aggravated Nate but so far they seem to be fine on Graham's tummy. He sleeps well as long as he can hear or smell me. He loves to sleep in his bouncy seat. He does not like being anywhere away from me, but as long as he can hear me, he's fine. But who can blame him? I'm all he's familiar with after all.
So far, so good. I'm antsy about next week, but hopefully it goes well.
Life With a Newborn
We got the boys back Wednesday from my parents. We met them in Atlanta, had lunch and then started the adventure back home. Needless to say, we won't be traveling much. If it takes more than 30 minutes, then it's too far! Trips were already hard with all the demands of toddlers, Logan having to pee, but now we also have "Nate's looking at me", "Nate touched me", Logan making sounds and faces that make Nate cry. Nate throwing his snack and cup at Logan. I'm hoping they adjust to sitting next to each other soon.
We took all three to Lowes to get a couple bags of mulch and buy some vegetables to plant. It was a disaster too. I'm pretty much going to be cooped up at home when Brent is not here. I'm interested to see how preschool drop off goes on Tuesday since I have to take all three in by myself. This Friday should be interesting too because Brent will be out of town.
Speaking of mulch, Brent got so much done while the boys were with my parents. He totally relandscaped the front, dug up what the builder put in and bought all new shrubs for the front and sides of the house. He laid 3000 lbs of mulch and planted 25 shrubs and 2 trees. He made a trip to the dump with the things we can't put in our roadside pickup can, fertilized the yard, mowed. He had half a truck load of mulch and the shrubs that he dug up from the front left, so we decided to go ahead and do some work in the back to try to fix where Jade (and the boys) has dug along the fence line. We bought just some cheap landscape timbers to hold the mulch (until we decide what final design and look we want), landscape cloth and chicken wire to hopefully keep Jade and the boys out of it, at least from digging holes anyways. We are going to plant the shrubs from the front along the fence and eventally add a tree in the corners. Best of all, I get to plant a garden!! It may not be ideal because the fence will make some shade at different times in the day, but I'm hoping it survives the boys, their toys and we have some fruit and vegetables this summer. We're planting tomatoes, yellow and zucchini squash, cucumber, cayenne and sweet banana peppers (and jalapeno if I can find them), onions, watermelon, and strawberries. I want to also try to grow our own pumpkin for this fall and I want to add in some herbs too but I was not pleased with Lowe's prices, so maybe I'll find the herbs cheaper somewhere else.
Today we are going to see the hot air balloons and the balloon glow at dusk (if the boys make it) at the Cherry Blossom Festival. This time last year, Julie was in town and we checked out the carnival part of the festival. Logan was 2.5, Nate was 7 mos old. We had to find litle nooks and crannies and hiding spots out of the way so I could nurse Nate. Now we're going back this year, the boys are a year older and we have added another baby and another search for hiding spots to nurse. It's amazing what can happen in a year!
