Tuesday I had a Dr's appt. They were able to find the heartbeat on the Doppler which was in the 160's. All my blood work came back normal and my blood pressure was good and I'd lost another pound.
Logan went with me. He was actually good considering. I gave him a sucker so he was in heaven!
I'm still feeling tired. Logan is STILL not sleeping well. For some reason he wants to get up for a couple hours a night to talk, play, scream, whine, cry....whatever, therefore keeping me up. He's got a couple teeth trying to come in so I'm hoping once they are in he will start sleeping better.
I can't get either of my scanners to work, so I can't post the ultrasound pictures. Hopefully I'll figure out what's wrong and get them posted soon!
In other news...Logan is starting daycare on Mondays this coming Monday. I work 9-5 on Mondays and it doesn't mesh well with his schedule now that he's only taking 1 nap a day. He needs and wants way more attention than I can give him. He's also figured out how to push over his baby fence thing, trapping himself under it causing him to get hurt. I tried blocking myself off and he would just stand by me and scream. I tried letting him roam back and forth between the office and the living room and I found him behind the TV unplugging all Brent's electronics. So, as of now that's our option. I actually think he will love interacting with other kids. I just hope he adapts well and isn't too much of a problem for them. They mentioned that they will nap on mats, which I'm pretty sure won't go over well. Logan is extremely busy so I'm sure napping will not occur with all those kids and toys everywhere! We'll see though. Maybe he'll surprise us.

Week 10
I'm 10 weeks 3 days today. I haven't had any nausea since 8 weeks, thank goodness!!!! I thought the tiredness was starting to really affect me this week, but since Logan has finally slept the past couple nights I seem much better! I felt like a whole new person today! I think I've finally caught up from the trip and almost caught up from his sleeplessness the past week. I'm just hoping it stays that way and I can continue to keep up with an extremely busy toddler while pregnant. Mom has been wanting slober sugars so she is getting him this weekend and I plan on taking lots of naps and sleeping late...as well as getting this house clean (UGH!).
I feel like I've started to show this week. Before I felt bigger, but it seemed to mostly be bloating. Brent said he's noticed it too but didn't want to say anything in case I thought it was just fat, lol..he's so sweet when he wants to be! So, maternity clothes are definitely filling the closet. I didn't have any winter stuff with Logan so I'd got to buy all new stuff ;). I started wearing the pants a couple weeks ago, only because my jeans cut into my stomach at the wrong place and were uncomfortable.
Last I weighed I'd lost 6 lbs, I haven't weighed in a week or so though. I go to the Dr on Tuesday. I have to take Logan with me so that should be an adventure. I'm curious to see how high my blood pressure is with him there versus when he wasn't. Brent has a meeting at the region office, or Logan would be staying with him. Our Big Boy
Logan had his 15 month appointment today. He weighed 21 lbs 12 oz (13%), 32-1/4 inches long (81%) and head circumference of 18.5 inches (44%). He has met all his milestones and then some! I thought he was suppose to know a lot more body parts and animal sounds, but he only needed a couple body parts and no sounds. All the doctor said was that he needed some meat on his bones, but since he eats more than I do most days she said there's not much we can really do about it. He got his chicken poxs and MMR vaccine today. I like that this office splits up the 1 yr shots since there's so many at once and so much controversy surrounding the MMR. These were his first shots in his arms which he did NOT like. I thought I was holding him down tight enough with the first one, but he flinched so much the needle came out and she had to poke him again. Bless his heart!
He is learning so much lately. He seems to do new stuff everyday, so much that I can't even keep up with what's new to blog about it!
He now knows what a chicken, dog and duck say. He will mostly only do these with daddy.
He has started to pretend A LOT! He has a little cup he "drinks" out of and then says "ahhhh" when he's done "drinking". He also likes to pretend drink out of water bottles, or even empty 2 Liters. He smacks at stuff like he's pretending to eat. He'll get a pot and a spoon and mix it like mommy does cooking dinner. He pretends to put baby powder on him. He crawls around in the floor shaking a toy in his mouth or barking like the dogs.
He has so many new words...I don't think I can think of them all, but some are "thank you" (especially when he finds something he's not suppose to have, he brings it to me "thank you, thank you, thank you"...I guess because every time he gets a hold of something he's not suppose to have I take it away and say thank you), bad boy (to nino), meanie, bite bite (when he's hungry he says bite bite and pushed his high chair out and stares at you til you put him in it),...oh, there's so many more I just can't think of them!
The other night we went to eat Japanese. In the middle of dinner he started playing peek-a-boo with his hands covering his eyes. I have NO idea where he picked this up because we've always used a blanket or washcloth...but it was so cute! He was playing that with me at the Dr's office today and started waiting on me to say "where's Logan" before he took away his hands.
He got a sit-n-spin for Christmas and although he can't use it as it's intended purpose yet, he really likes the music. He'll hit it and then dance around the living room til it goes off, then he'll hit it again! He's so cute dancing and has let us join in here lately. Before he wanted nothing to do with us dancing with him.
He's really gotten the hang of how to climb on things. He can get on and off the couch now without injuring himself. For some reason he really likes to sit on the back of the couch too. He can climb the steps now (even though we try to keep him off them but sometimes forget the gate) but he won't come back down. He can open the doors now. The child proof door knob things won't work on our interior doors for some reason so we had to get one of those annoying toilet lid locks. It's the worst to rush into the bathroom about to pee yourself and have to mess with that stupid lock!
He's been showing so much affection lately. He hugs and loves and has even started giving me sugar on the mouth. I can't decide if I like this or not because they are usually really snotty! haha! He'll come over, sit down beside us, cuddle up, lay on us, let us scratch his back for a minute. It's usually just for a minute or two but I love how he shows his love now. Oh, one of his new words, well really a phrase, is "love you".
He's been cutting teeth here lately. His 1 year molars are coming in...at least on one side. I wish they'd all come in together because I don't think I can take another round of this (or is it 3 more rounds...4 molars or 2??). For the last week and a half he's been waking up somewhere between 2 and 4 and staying up. He's not fussy when he wakes up, he just acts like it's playtime. It's almost literally drove me insane. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the problems was. I made sure he was not getting any sugar or juice after 5. I took away one nap. I extended his bed time. I made sure there were no changes in his diet. Nothing was working! Finally after a week of this he started drooling, chewing on his hands, had some diarrhea and his gums were swollen...so then I knew for sure it was teething! He had no teething signs before this, he was just awake and wanting to play in the middle of the night! I'd also been giving him generic Tylenol during the nights when I couldn't figure out what was wrong...Brent ended up bringing home name brand and it seems to work a ton better! I will be sticking to name brand Tylenol from now on. I was never one to fall for name brand medication and always, always bought generic, but not with this anymore! Anyways, he's still waking up but a new dose of Tylenol and ambesol seem to be doing the trick. He even slept til 9 a.m. this morning! I really wish he was still taking two naps, but I can't seem to get him back in that routine after taking one away for the past couple days. They generally drop their second nap from 14-18 mos, so I might have had another month or two left, but seems like I ruined that! Oh well, at least the 1 nap is a long one....usually around 2.5 hrs.
Oh, something he did cute today...He was over at his toy box in the living room. Brent asked him to bring him George. He reached over grabbed Curious George, gave it a hug and took it to Brent. We were so impressed! Maybe he really is listening! HAHA!
He's having lots of fits lately, but I'm not giving in! I think it's starting to sink in a little bit because they aren't lasting nearly as long now. He seems to be able to redirect himself better. I'm sure they will come back full force here soon.

I Guess I Should Add...
Today I'm 9 wks 2 days. I've been feeling pretty good the past couple days. I haven't had any nausea since Friday. I am getting increasingly tired though. I thought it was just needing to catch up from the trip, but it seems I can't so now I'm blaming it on pregnancy. I really thought I'd beat the tired part because I made it all the way to 9 wks and not felt one bit of it, but I guess not. At least the nausea seems to have disappeared! I hope it stays gone! So for now, I'm taking a nap every time Logan does. Even though it only seems to make things worse, I just can't fight it off. You can tell the house and laundry are really suffering from all my naps, but I guess it can wait for now.
Ultrasound
Our first ultrasound was last Thursday. I was 8w3d that day. Everything went well! The baby measured 1.89 cm, which was 8 weeks 0 days and the heart rate was 178.
In comparison with Logan. I went for his first ultrasound on 8w1d. He measured 2.2 cm, 8w2d and his heart rate was 180. So they were very similar.
Placenta this time looks fundal and posterior (top and back), thank goodness. With Logan it was anterior, or on the front, and I didn't feel as much as one normally would, although if it were not anterior I don't think I could have stood it because he was so, so active. I'm hoping this baby has more my personality, lol.
I only have one gripe about the ultrasound though. I know it was just a dating ultrasound but at the hospital last time they were very, very thorough. Even though they were just checking for dates they also looked at everything else to make sure nothing was wrong, no subchorionic hemorrhage, etc. I know most probably don't know what any of that means, but working in Radiology I know a little more than average about these things, LOL! So, at the OB they just checked the size of the baby for dates, nothing else, which is a little aggravating. I wish it were more thorough, but even if they were there's really nothing to do about anything they found. One good thing about it is that they didn't do the transvaginal part! Yay!! Haha!
I'll post pics once I get them scanned in. Logan just crammed cars and fruit snacks in my printer/scanner so I have to get it cleaned out before I can do anything with it! Silly boy. They even printed me a 3D pic, which was odd at this stage but you can see lots of detail if you look close enough!

Arizona!!
We had a blast in Arizona and Las Vegas!!We left Saturday Jan. 2 to Phoenix, Arizona. We arrived in AZ around 1 pm AZ time, which is 3 pm our time. As soon as we arrived we picked up our rental car and headed to the resort. We stayed at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa. This is the same place we stayed two years ago.
Saturday night they held an awards banquet and coaches dinner. Brent received a navy sports coat and a personalized Fiesta Bowl football. They did the sports coat weird though. They had him send back the one he got a couple years ago. We assumed they were adding a patch or new buttons or something, but it was just the same old sports coat. Not sure why he had to send it back unless it was to make sure they all had theirs there. The coaches from both teams playing in the Fiesta Bowl came a spoke to us. Texas Christian University and Boise State University were the teams that were playing. The dinner ended around 9 pm AZ time. Most of the people there were going out, but Brent and I headed to bed. We were really looking forward to sleeping a full night and even sleeping late!! Of course we barely slept, even though we both took something to help us.
Sunday Brent had a golf tournament starting at 8 am. I had a spa appointment at noon. I had planned on sleeping til I had to get up and get ready, but of course that didn't happen. I ended up going to the free breakfast buffet and then reading on the balcony til my facial. The facial was neat, but the whole time she was lathering all that junk on my face I was envisioning how bad my breakout was going to be the next day. Of course the next day I start having spot come up that weren't there the day of my facial, LOL. It was very relaxing though, but a massage would have been much better. I'm definitely splurging on a massage once I'm out of the first trimester!! And an hour long one at that! After my facial I headed to the hospitality suite to get lunch. After looking around and discovering there were no subs left and all they had were chips, salsa and such, I decided to get the car and search for some greasy McDonalds. You all know how picky I am, plus mixing that with pregnancy aversions, I'd hardly ate in 2 days since they were providing all food and I didn't have much choice. After searching for an hour for a stupid McD's, I finally gave up and remembered that Target usually had some sort of cafe in their stores. There was a Target right across the street from the resort...and luckily it had a Pizza Hut! So after stuffing myself with a personal pan pizza I went back to the resort and slept while I waited on Brent to get back. Once Brent got back we got the car and did a little exploring. We found two little towns called Carefree and Cave Creek that were neat. They just had little souvenir and junk shops but the scenery was amazing. Frito had provided us with a $100 American Express giftcard for dinner, so we headed back to the hotel to get ready to go eat. We ate at a place called The Yard House. It was kind of like Big River or Rock Bottom. The food was great and didn't nearly cover the $100. With the money we had left we went to the Dave and Busters next door and played silly arcade games til we couldn't skee ball or shoot hoops anymore! We had a blast acting like kids again.
Monday was the Fiesta Bowl activities. It started off with the Chalk Talk Brunch. Frito went all our for this. They had tons of weird breakfast stuff, so once again I didn't eat much! They didn't have the normal biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, eggs and pancakes. It was crepes, omelets, real bacon they carved in front of you that was really thick and not at all crispy, lol, croissants, fruit smoothies, mimosas and bloody marys, etc. There was no milk either! It was a fancy breakfast to say the least, haha! So I stuck to croissants with jelly and a bagel. Stomp did a mini performance for us. Those boys can dance! It was really cool! Also during this breakfast we got to meet and talk with 4 somewhat famous football players. They were Rocket Ishmail, Tommie Frazier, Tee Martin, and Tony Casillas. These guys played in the Tostitos Bowl in Bagdad, Irag. Tostitos flew many former football players and coaches over to play against the soldiers in their own bowl. These guys came and told us about their experience there. They also roamed around taking pictures and talking with all of us during breakfast. After that we picked up our tickets and VIP passes for the game. We headed to the game around 1 pm. They took us to "College Football's Biggest Party" where we had our own VIP tent. In this tent they had a taco/nacho buffet, ice cream bar, and a popcorn/cotton candy station. They also had an open drink bar. Out front they had tailgate type games for us to play and things to take pictures with. The game started around 6. Brent got to see his favorite college football announcer, Erin Andrews, LOL. We had great seats. We were field level, two rows back on the 35 yd line behind TCU. After the game we went back to the resort for the dessert party, where they also had all the photos taken during all the events. They had professional photographers what seemed like everywhere and had the pictures printed off for us and lying out for us to grab.
Tuesday morning we planned on leaving bright and early for Las Vegas. I didn't really want to get out of the bed though, so we left an hour or two behind schedule. It took us FOREVER to get to Hoover Dam. Turns out we accidentally took a long way around and didn't realize it til on the way back. The scenery on the way up was absolutely beautiful though. Tons of dessert, mountain...even snow! 
The Hoover Dam was neat. The difference in the high side and the low side was amazing. We didn't spend a lot of time there though because we were anxious to get to Vegas. The dam was one of those places that's neat to see, but once you see it that's about it. There's not a lot of things to do there unless you want to tour the power plant, which we can do at TVA back home if we wanted. Vegas was only 30 miles from the dam so it took us no time to finally get there. We always thought that Vegas was in the middle of the desert with nothing else around it, but it's pretty populated...even more populated than just the people that work there. We never found the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign, which I'm pretty bummed about! We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. It was very, very cool, but very adult. I don't think it would be a place for kids...maybe in the summer when the pool is open. We ate lunch there and gambled a little. Amazingly we didn't lose any money and came out on top several hundred dollars. Once it got dark we headed out to the strip to check everything out. We first went to Caesars Palace. The artwork in there, the ceiling, everything was amazing. They had this place linking it with the Bellagio called The Forum (I think) which had every huge fancy designer shop you could imagine. It was very uppity and we totally didn't fit in! haha! The inside of the Bellagio wasn't nearly as fancy as Caesars but the fountain show they put on was unbelievable. I've seriously never seen anything so cool. After the water show we crossed over to see Paris. Paris was really neat as well. The casino was painted like you were outside on the streets of Paris and under the Eiffel tower. The actual supports for the Eiffel tower they had outside were in the casino as well. Whoever paints the skies in these casinos is awesome. They looked so real and even felt as if they were moving. We also walked next door to Bally's, which was nothing special but we did finally find something quick to eat. Next we got the car and headed to the Venetian. The Venetian was very, very cool. I really wanted to do a gondola ride, but we were running out of time and we couldn't find where you got on at. These casinos are like cities of their own. They have their own shops, restaurants, etc. They were huge and very easy to get turned around in! So after we checked out the Venetian we headed back to the Hard Rock to do a little more gambling before we had to go to bed. At they Hard Rock they were taping some reality show. The new way back took us through some really isolated desert. Like what you see in the movies, although there were more cars. The sunrise was absolutely beautiful, so we pulled over in the middle of the desert to watch it and take pictures. Of course my camera dies before the sun is really up, but there's still some good ones.
Arizona should definitely be on everyone's bucket list. It is an absolutely beautiful place.
